This policy explains how Anchusa Care Limited uses personal information collected through this website, anchusacare.co.uk. It does not cover the care records we hold for the people we care for, or our staff records. We explain those separately to the people concerned.

Who we are

Anchusa Care Limited (company number 10284273) is the data controller. Our registered office is Suite D, Gloverside, 23–25 Bury Mead Road, Hitchin, Herts, SG5 1RT. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZB499252.

For any privacy question, or to use your rights, email info@anchusacare.co.uk or call 01462 338343. We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer.

What we collect and why

Enquiries. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service you are asking about and anything you choose to tell us. We use it to reply to you and arrange a conversation about care. Our legal basis is legitimate interests (answering people who contact us) and, where you ask us to take steps before starting care, preparing for a contract. Please do not put health details in the form that we do not need to answer your enquiry. If you do tell us, we will use it only to help with your enquiry.

Job applications. If you apply to work with us, we use the details you send (for example your CV and contact details) to consider your application and contact you. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and our legitimate interest in recruiting carers. If you are not successful, we keep your details for 6 months, then delete them, unless you ask us to keep them for future vacancies.

Website use. With your consent, we use cookies and similar technologies to see how people use the site and to measure our advertising. This is covered in the next section and in our cookie policy. We do not use these tools unless you accept them.

Cookies and tracking tools

Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work do not need consent. For everything else, we ask first, and you can change your mind at any time. The tools we use if you accept are Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (visitor statistics), Google Ads (advertising measurement), Meta (Facebook) Pixel (advertising measurement) and Fraud Blocker (detecting invalid ad clicks). Google and Meta may process data in the United States. They do so under the UK-US data bridge or standard contractual safeguards.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with:

  • our website host and IT providers, who store it on our behalf in UK data centres;
  • the tools listed above, if you accept cookies;
  • regulators, the police or the courts, if the law requires it;
  • a buyer or potential buyer of the company, if we ever sell it.

Links on this site may take you to other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 12 months if they do not lead to care, then delete them. If we start providing care, we handle your information under our separate care records policy. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for 6 months. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

How we protect it

Our site uses encryption (HTTPS), we limit access to a small number of staff, and our servers are in the UK. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: tell you what we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict how we use it; give you a copy in a portable format; or stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@anchusacare.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

Children

This website is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 through it. If you think we have, please tell us and we will delete it.

Complaints

Please tell us first so that we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top.
